Naturehood by Milestones is a vibrant team dedicated to transforming early childhood education through nature-inspired learning, rooted in a mission to provide attainable, authentic, and affordable resources for the Early Childhood Community. Our collective expertise, honed through years of collaboration with the Milestones Early Learning Organization, focuses on creating downloadable lessons, printable units, and seasonal subscription boxes that connect teachers, students, and families to the wonders of the natural world. With a deep commitment to fostering curiosity and creativity in children ages 0-5, our team curates engaging materials and draws on extensive experience in outdoor education to support educators and inspire communities.
Jenny Abid
Jenny has 15 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education World. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Language Arts, Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Aquinas College. She has held positions as a teacher and leader in the Milestones Early Learning Organization for over 14 years. She has created programs, events, marketing and systems that are used in the field today. She has a deep appreciation for curriculum, connections, curated spaces for learning, and creativity. Finding resources for teachers to be successful is a personal mission.
Katie Hoisington
Katie has 12 years of experience in the Early Childhood World. She has earned multiple certifications in nature learning. She has held positions as a teacher and leader in the Milestones
Early Learning Organization. She is the creator of this curriculum model and magic behind most all creations in Naturehood. Her artistic eye and ability to make something from nothing makes her the perfect blend for any early childhood educator. She has a deep appreciation for all living things, carefully gathered and crafted learning experiences, and attainable, beautiful resources for teachers.
